Abbey Moor Golf Club is a nice little nine hole course, not very long though. The course is quite open so it can get a little windy. The greens were in very good condition and the ball seems to roll true. There is water in play on a couple of holes but not too much danger. A quote from Ken ‘The clubhouse is nice and cozy with a tasty short skirted barmaid.

The course starts with quite an easy par 4 the fairway is open and there are no bunkers reachable from the tee. The 2nd hole is a different story the green is reachable but bunkers on the front left & right of the green plus a bunker 50 yards back from the green make the shot a very tricky one. The 3rd hole has no danger on the right so stay clear of the left side.

The 4th hole has a choice to make from the tee and a tricky approach to the green. The 5th holes water short of the green should really not come into play unless you really miss hit your tee shot. The par 4 6th needs an accurately placed tee shot to leave yourself with a shot to the green and the 7th looks reachable in one but if you choose to lay up make sure you clear the ditch and stay left of the tree.

The 8th hole has quite a long two tiered green so there is a 1 club difference depending on where the pin is placed. The course finishes with a par 5 that you should be putting for a birdie on as, if played safe is not too long and the only danger is the out of bounds down the left although the green is bunkered well.
